By Graham "GSM" Matthews Tyler Breeze vs. Adam Rose Went to a No Contest While I was disappointed the team of Breeze and Bull Dempsey didn't go further in the Dusty Rhodes tag tournament, I'm glad it served as a platform for a feud between the two. Dempsey's fitness gimmick has surprisingly gotten over with the audience and Breeze is the perfect foil for the character. I'm not sure what purpose Rose served here (and his new party pooper gimmick is getting worse by the week), but we can thank the lord the match never came to fruition. Although this was a fine furthering of the feud, it was a weird way of kicking off the show that might have been better placed later in the program. Tye Dillinger def. Danny Burch Dillinger was a heel for the first few matches he competed a part of his 10 gimmick, but he's apparently a babyface now and that might be the best role for him. He's incredibly over with the audience and the fans are just eating it up. Burch is a great enhancement talent and he sold Dillinger's offense well. It's great that he's finally being used properly after all this time and hopefully he gets the push he deserves. Apollo Crews def. Solomon Crowe Crews is an absolute star. Does anything else need to be said? His amazing offense and high-flying abilities never cease to impress me and he'll be a main event player in no time. Meanwhile, what the hell happened to Crowe? I mean, he's been a jobber for almost all of his run in NXT and it's unfortunate because he's too talented to be wasted. I'm holding out hope that he's headed toward a heel turn in the near future as that could be what gets his career back on track. Baron Corbin and Rhyno def. Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa in a Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Round 2 Match I enjoyed the match Corbin and Rhyno had with The Ascension much more than I thought I would, and this match was even better. What Gargano and Ciampa lack in size they make up for in skill and they held their own against the gargantuan team of Corbin and Rhyno. They kept the pace consistent throughout and I loved the finish with Corbin snatching up Gargano out of nowhere for the End of Days and the win. Hopefully their two matches in the tournament will be enough to land Gargano and Ciampa contracts in the company. NXT Women's Champion Bayley def. Mary Dobson (Non-title) The match was a basic squash, but holy hell, what an entrance! Bayley deserved every bit of that ovation she received from the crowd and seeing her dance around in the ring with her biggest fan Izzy was beyond awesome. What I loved even more was how they didn't waste any time before getting right into the main event for the next TakeOver which will feature Bayley against Banks in an 30-minute Iron (Wo)Man match. Fantastic! That should be every bit as phenomenal as their first match against each other and I couldn't be happier that it will be going down in the main event. Overall Show With the next TakeOver special only a little less than three weeks away, it's time for them to start building up a card and they took a step in the right direction with this episode. They've confirmed the Women's title will be headlining while the tournament will culminate and I assume Breeze and Dempsey will be having a match as well. As for the two squash matches in the middle of the show, they were fine filler that helped further the momentum of Crews and Dillinger.
