Nathan Frazer def. Saxon HuxleyMan, Huxley is such a bore to watch. I'm honestly glad he didn't receive a televised entrance here because the guy should be positioned as an enhancement talent. The fact he's won any matches at all since the relaunch of NXT UK is wild to me. Unfortunately, he was on offense for a majority of this match, which nearly put me to sleep. The important thing is that Frazer won. That's about the only positive thing I can say about this. Gallus Brawled with Eddie Dennis and The Hunt on Supernova Sessions Hosted by Noam DarWe've been seeing an awful lot of Supernova Sessions on NXT UK these past few months it seems. It's a good thing Dar does well in the role, at least when he's given decent material to work with. This was a fine segment on the whole designed to set up Joe Coffey vs. Dennis next week. I assume a six-man tag team match will follow soon after. Does this officially make Gallus babyfaces? Isla Dawn def. Emilia McKenzieMcKenzie and Meiko Satomura beat Dawn and Kay Lee Ray in a tag team match on last week's show. It made sense to follow up that win for the babyfaces with this matchup, but I was baffled by the end of it. Not only were they short on time and therefore it was a fairly basic bout, Dawn won. I know you have to put heat on the heels every once in a while, but Dawn doesn't interest me in the slightest, even with the new character change. McKenzie losing so soon after returning is an odd choice. Jack Starz def. Ashton SmithSince the inception of NXT UK, Starz has been the go-to jobber for the brand. He's been beaten by pretty much everyone on the roster, so he was due a win eventually. They've been pushing his alliance with Piper Niven hard lately and how she's been coaching him, so the outcome of this contest wasn't entirely surprising. Besides, when was the last time Smith won anything of important? This was fine while it lasted. Kenny Williams def. Amir JordanWith Williams betraying Jordan recently after the two had teamed for years, obviously the idea is that we're supposed to feel for Jordan, but he can be so damn annoying sometimes that I can't say I blame Williams for wanting to branch off on his own. I was skeptical over this being the main event because they were an undercard team for so long, but it ended up being an enjoyable affair. Williams winning was the right call and the dirty finish leaves the door open for a possible rematch. Overall ShowThere was a lot that happened on this episode, but none of it really landed for me, personally. I guess that was to be expected coming off last week's big Prelude episode, but this felt like a filler show even though most of the matches served a purpose and set stuff up for the coming weeks. The best thing on the show was easily the main event, but even that wasn't must-see by any stretch. It was a solid night of action on the whole that lacked a sense of energy for whatever reason.
