Tiger Turan def. Josh MorrellI have yet to see anything from Turan that has really wowed or impressed me. He seems to be a good worker, but with the mask, he reminds me of Ligero, who honestly bored me for as long as he was around in NXT UK. Until we learn more about him, it's going to difficult to care about his character. That said, he had a solid showing here. I was surprised to not see Kenny Williams since he cost him a win against Mark Andrews last week. Lash Legend def. Myla GraceI thought we saw the last of Legend in NXT UK when she beat Emilia McKenzie on a few weeks ago, but sadly not. She was back again here for what was basically a glorified squash match. It's worth noting that Grace scored a fair amount of offense and was made to look competitive in defeat, so I'm curious if she'll be positioned as more than an enhancement talent at some point. This was actually one of Legend's better matches in recent memory. Damon Kemp and Wolfgang def. NXT UK Heritage Cup Champion Noam Dar and Sha SamuelsKemp and Wolfgang is such a weird pairing, especially when you consider that Wolfgang is a member of Gallus and Kemp just joined Diamond Mine over in NXT 2.0. Don't get me wrong, they worked well together and this was a decent match, but I don't know where this is headed since Kemp is clearly on loan from NXT. Will he face Wolfgang, or will he (unsuccessfully) challenge Noam Dar for the Heritage Cup? At least Kemp picked up the victory here and avenged his loss to Samuels from a few weeks ago. Trent Seven Attacked Tyler BateAlthough Seven had been hinting for months (and reiterated it here) that he'd likely retire once he lost the NXT UK Tag Team Championship, all signs pointed to him turning heel on Bate eventually. Thus, this segment went down as expected. Predictability isn't a bad thing in this case, however, as I thought this was very well done. Yes, you can argue they were a bit overdramatic, but you have to remember that this story has been told for as long as they've been in WWE together, which is five-plus years. I mean, they can take this all the way back to when they lost the NXT Tag Team Championship four years ago because of Bate throwing in the towel for Seven. This is easily the best thing going in NXT UK right now (despite there not being much competition), so I'm intrigued to see where this goes next. Overall ShowThe good news is that Blair Davenport is on her way back from injury (which may explain why Meiko Satomura is still NXT UK Women's Champion). The bad news is that NXT UK is still bringing in NXT 2.0 talent, and although that means we're getting Sarray next week, it also means we're getting Josh Briggs and Carter Jensen in a random NXT UK Tag Team Championship match. I mean, why? This show was mostly mediocre up until the last segment, which I've been waiting a while for and it delivered.
