NXT UK Heritage Cup Champion Noam Dar and Sha Samuels Hosted Supernova Sessions with Lash LegendI can't recall another time that Supernova Sessions opened the show, and I hope they never do it again. This segment would've sucked regardless, but it definitely didn't set a very positive tone for the rest of the episode. Legend's talk show in NXT 2.0 was bad enough that she's been more of a wrestler than a talk show host as of late. She has charisma, but a lot of her lines just weren't good and she had no chemistry with Dar and Samuels. This served to set up Samuels vs. Damon Kemp, but that's about it. Tiger Turan def. Tate MayfairsI know nothing about Turan and this was my first exposure to him. He had a solid showing and it was an average outing, but there was nothing he did that stood out to me in a major way. Honestly, the fact he wears a mask reminded me of Ligero, who got fired from the brand in 2020 after being called out in the Speaking Out stuff. Kenny Williams tried to hunt down Turan later on, thinking he was the masked man that cost him his match against Sam Gradwell a few weeks ago. Damon Kemp def. Danny JonesOf all the NXT 2.0 stars NXT UK has brought in lately, Kemp has the most amount of potential. His amateur wrestling background will bode well for him and I'm actually looking forward to seeing what he can do in NXT UK, unless this stint will be short-lived. He's gradually getting better and this was an effective showcase for him. As previously mentioned, it looks like he'll be facing Samuels on an upcoming episode. NXT UK Women's Champion Meiko Satomura def. Isla Dawn in a World of Darkness MatchIt's been well documented in my reviews that I've been no fan of this feud and even without knowing what the stipulation would consist of, I assumed this would be a waste of time. Sure enough, it was pretty bad. I never thought we'd get any sort of "spookiness" in NXT UK, but here we are. I don't know what else to say about this other than it was probably the worst NXT UK Women's Championship match I've ever seen. The Dawn crap needs to end. Overall ShowWhen I asked for fresh faces to be featured in NXT UK and not the same six people (half of them being Gallus), this isn't exactly what I had in mind. I have no problem with Kemp being brought over, but Legend and Von Wagner do not fit the vibe of this brand at all. There's nothing else catching my attention at the moment other than Ilja Dragunov vs. Jordan Devlin in a Loser Leaves NXT UK match on next week's grand 200th episode. The main event was embarrassing and the rest of the show was abysmal, making this one of the weakest episodes I've seen in quite some time.
