Jinny def. Emilia McKenzieJinny was clearly using McKenzie to get to Meiko Satomura and it looks like it worked. Jinny is bound to be Satomura's next challenger for the NXT UK Women's Championship, especially coming off this win. This didn't light the world on fire or anything, but it was a perfectly competent contest with both women having good showings. McKenzie needs to do more to come off as less generic, but at least Jinny is nailing the character stuff. Sam Gradwell def. Mark AndrewsGradwell vandalized some of Subculture's wall art a few weeks ago and that was how this bout came about. He's become one of my favorite acts on the entire show and can hold his own in the ring to boot. Of course, it's impossible for Andrews to have a bad match with anyone, so this was an enjoyable affair with the two having great chemistry together. The outcome surprised me, but I'm not complaining. Gradwell needed this win more and hopefully he can capitalize on it. Noam Dar def. Wolfgang in the Finals of the NXT UK Heritage Cup Championship No. 1 Contender's TournamentYou'd think you were watching an instant classic if you listened to the commentary. It's cool that they care so much and make these matches feel bigger, but I can't say I was as excited by this as they were. Wolfgang's style of wrestling mostly bores me, but he worked well with Dar, who was the best part of the match in my opinion. It was a slight upgrade over most of the Heritage Cup rules matches we've seen so far, but I'm happy it's finally over so we don't have to be subjected to seeing one a week anymore. Overall ShowThis was a slightly shorter show than usual, but that was fine by me. Some of these shows tend to drag on longer than they need to and go overboard with the vignettes, but things were a bit more streamlined this week. We got a high-stakes main event which ended up being solid, Gradwell got to pick up a rare win, and the women had a serviceable opener. This was one of the tamer episodes as of late, but the imminent return of crowds should make the show more interesting going forward.
