Tyler Reks defeated Chris Masters
Of the thousand times we've seen this match occur, this was the best one these two have contested. A feud is rare onSuperstars, so the chemistry and history between Masters and Reks made this match enjoyable. However, the wrong person went over here. Rumors have been circulating that Masters is in for a big time push soon, but burying an up-and-coming talent such as Reks won't help matters. I do believe Masters should receive at least one Intercontinental Championship reign before he leaves WWE just to see how it would go over, but Reks has proved to be a legitimate contender after winning countless matches over the last few months. Where's his title match? Zack Ryder with Primo defeated Vladimir Kozlov with Santino Marella A quick squash contest that did nothing for either man. Kozlov dominated the entire match, but with one move it's over? Nonsense. The only thing I enjoyed about this match was the outcome since Ryder really needs some wins under his belt. This feud will not be anything enjoyable, so what's the point of trying with pointless matches like this? The Great Khali, Mark Henry, and Natayla defeated Tyson Kidd, William Regal, and Melina(6-Person Mixed Tag Team Match) A not-so-appealing main event with randomly picked wrestlers didn't satisfy me when I saw it advertised. The only reason I watched was due to William Regal's participation. Of course, my standards weren't high on this one, but this was a complete joke. Team Khali dominated the entire thing, picked up a predictable victory, and then went on to destroy Tyson Kidd. EVERYONE hit their finishes on Kidd following the match. How sad is that? Regal and Melina I can understand becoming after-thoughts in this match, but the fresh heel Kidd? Following his heel turn, I saw potential in a Bryan vs. Kidd rivalry, with Kidd possibly even winning the United States Championship. But, of course, WWE decides to give the fan-favorite giants meaningless victories. Enjoy Tyson Kidd while you can before he gets future endeavored following WrestleMania. Final Review With minimal in-ring action, this has honestly got to be the worst Superstars broadcast in recent memory. Random matches with wrong winners don't give me any reasons to watch WGN America on Thursday nights. With RAW and SmackDown filled with promos and very little wrestling, WWE should consider taking Superstars more seriously with more action on the Road to WrestleMania. On a side note, this was deemed as the 100th episode on WWE.com. Not even mentioning that fact pities me, and what a disgrace of a milestone this show proved to be. Comments are closed.
