![]() By Graham "GSM" Matthews Emma def. Alicia Fox Both Emma and Fox are great workers in the ring, but I never would have expected they would be given the chance to go out and have this good of a match. I guess wrestling on Superstars provides that kind of platform for you. The match wasn't among the best Divas matches I've seen this year, but it was better than it had any right to be. Fox played her crazy heel role well and the crowd adored Emma. I was pleasantly surprised to see Emma pick up the victory and I'd like to see WWE do more with her on the main shows. Adam Rose def. Fandango We go from having a very good women's match... to this. How many times have we seen this match by this point? Man, it's ridiculous that they are still getting paired up to face off, yet no surprising. There were some fun aspects about the bout, but match's participants are just so stale it was hard to enjoy any of it. The only plus was that Summer Rae or Layla didn't show up at ringside. I'd take that as a sign that the stupid storyline is over, but this Superstars after all, so only time will tell. Overall Show
The show started out strong with a solid women's match between Emma and Alicia Fox but died a death with Adam Rose vs. Fandango. As always, the rest of the show was filled out with SummerSlam video packages that promoted the pay-per-view. This wasn't one of the better episodes of Superstars I've ever seen (and really, how good can this program really be), but the Divas match was good enough that I'd suggest checking it out if you have a few minutes to spare. |
