![]() By Graham "GSM" Matthews Paige def. Layla Don't believe me when I say that WWE officials have zero clue what they're doing when they're booking the women? Look no further than this match that saw Layla portray a heel after working as a babyface on this week's episode of Main Event. The crowd was more alive for this match than most of the other Divas matches this week, but that was merely because of Paige's involvement and how over she is. It's a true shame because Paige and Layla worked a decent match, but I just can't past the character development (or lack thereof) of the ladies right now. It's painful to watch. The Lucha Dragons def. The Ascension The matches these two teams have are never bad, but because they're rarely on Raw these days, it feels like WWE throws them together every week on Superstars because they have nothing else for them. Additionally, most of their matches blend together because it's always the same tired formula of The Ascension locking in their rest holds for the first portion before The Lucha Dragons battle back and win. The Lucha Dragons are over with the audience, but they need more exposure on the main shows before they can be considered serious threats to the WWE Tag Team Championship. Overall Show
Both bouts were well-wrestled, but neither of them were particularly worth watching. The booking of the Divas division right now is absolutely atrocious and WWE desperately needs to get it back on track because the crowds don't care. As for the tag team match, it was no different than the million other matches they've had in the past, so basically, you're better off skipping over Superstars this week. |
