Jack Swagger def. Adam Rose
First off, the video package that aired spotlighting Andre the Giant and his legacy did more to make the Memorial Battle Royal feel meaningful than anything else we've seen on Raw in recent weeks (including this match between two of the bout's combatants). The match itself was just kind of there, but it was a little livelier than I expected with the crowd being into Swagger's offense. It was a nice win for Swagger, though it's obvious neither of these guys have a snowball's chance in hell of winning the match at WrestleMania.
The Lucha Dragons def. The Ascension
I continue to enjoy the performances The Lucha Dragons are having on the main roster and this was no exception. Like most of their matches, The Ascension was on offense for a majority of it, but it was relatively solid early on and fun in the final few minutes. The Lucha Dragons have been impressive since arriving on the main roster, but I hope to see them grace Raw and SmackDown sooner rather than later to add to the stale tag team division.
Both of the featured matches were well wrestled this week, despite the fact we've seen them before. I wouldn't exactly call either of them "must-see," but they are worth sitting through if this week's episode of Superstars happens to be live streaming on the WWE Network when you log in.
