Titus O'Neil def. Zack Ryder
Since when did Ryder go back to sporting trunks as his attire? Last time I remember seeing him, he was wearing long pants, but either way, I like him better with the trunks. He garnered a good reaction from the live Chicago crowd and had them behind them early on in the match. However, it was obvious from the get-go that this match would be a complete squash for O'Neil. Although Ryder scored some offense, it was basically one-sided for most of the match. So, at least it was effective in giving O'Neil a dominant victory.
Los Matadores def. Curtis Axel and Ryback
None of these competitors mean much at the moment, so I don't blame the crowd for not caring about this match at all. Everyone involved put forth a good effort, but it felt dragged out for no reason. The tag team division isn't as hot as it was a few months ago, and it saddens me that these are two of the few remaining tandems. It was pathetic seeing Axel and Ryback lose to Los Matadores, but at least it came after a roll-up win over Axel. What was even worse was terrible "horny" joke made after the match by Los Matadores toward Jerry Lawler. What is the point of that talking platform if it serves no purpose?
Of course, WWE Superstars is never worth watching for the entire episode unless you love Raw recaps and/or never watch on Monday nights. Then again, who watches Superstars and not Raw? Nevertheless, the opening match was nothing out of the ordinary and the tag team match was forgettable, so essentially, there was nothing worth seeking out from this show unless you enjoy seeing Zack Ryder make his entrance.
