WWE WrestleMania is for the casual fan, that much was especially proven true this weekend when WWE NXT TakeOver: Dallas was the more enjoyed show by fans. It was one evening that fans got to put all the usual bull crap behind and enjoy a show that had one thing: Wrestling. TakeOver is not for the casual fan, you see.
WrestleMania 32 takeaway what we actually got from an in ring standard had it all (also minus a solid buildup), the pageantry, the venue, etc. That alone is able to attract thousands of thousands of people.
Most fans will likely tell you, the feeling of this year's WrestleMania wasn't from what we would see in the ring so much, as it was built on a presentation of the actual stage of the event itself, and a feeling that if you take away all that, the show was very average or maybe even a little less than that.
NXT TakeOver: Dallas didn't need any of that extra stuff to promote interest. The show had its fans interest all along, and that was what was going to happen inside the ring. The event has received rave reviews from most fans, some even claiming it is up there in terms of the best shows WWE has put on to date.
TakeOver didn't need any magic, because it was just purely a wrestling show, and for that it stands out, and is by far the show of the weekend, the show WrestleMania failed to be.
