Anthony Andrews def. TraxxI've Traxx in action a time or two on the northeast independent wrestling scene. I assume he only appeared here to put over Andrews. However, Andrews hasn't been positioned as anyone important so far, so it was difficult to care about this contest, especially with a much smaller crowd in attendance. This was a fairly basic albeit boring bout and I'd be surprised to see this victory actually lead to something for Andrews.

Lance Archer def. Iseah BrownArcher did his usual shtick by bringing Brown to the ring with him and proceeding to destroy him for a few minutes. Personally, I prefer the short-and-sweet squashed from Archer, but seeing him pick apart his opponents is enjoyable, too. The problem is that he's been doing the same thing for so long without winning anything of note that it's almost impossible to care about the guy at this point.
NXT Women's Tag Team Champions Katana Chance and Kayden Carter def. Zoey Stark and Nikkita LyonsThis was a smart choice for the opener because it had a really nice energy to it and the crowd was into both teams. Although I'm no fan of Lyons, I think she and Stark compliment each other well and make for a quality team. The false finish should set up a rematch and I'm totally fine with that after what we saw here. This was an example of how women's tag team wrestling can work when crowds care.
Finn Balor def. Karl AndersonKudos to WWE/Triple H for making me care about The Judgment Day lately much more than I did a month or two ago. They seem to be finally finding their footing as a group, which is an encouraging sign for their future. The verbal exchange that preceded the match was well done and the match itself was entertaining. Balor and Anderson getting a chance to do their thing on the WWE stage was cool and they worked as well together as you'd expect. Anderson is actually very talented on his own, it's just his team with Luke Gallows I don't care about. Speaking of Gallows, Rhea Ripley slamming him at ringside was damn impressive.
Preston "10" Vance def. Baron BlackBlack was one of the enhancement guys AEW used regularly early on in the pandemic. He actually went winless until beating Brandon Cutler not too long ago. Well, he was back to losing here as he was completely killed by Vance in record time. Vance failed to win the AEW All-Atlantic Championship last week on Rampage, so this helped him get back on track and I appreciated how it was a straightforward squash.
