Adam Cole and Bobby Fish def. Orange Cassidy and Wheeler YutaCole ditched Fish the last two times they teamed up, so I was worried they were already on the verge of breaking up. I'm glad that didn't happen and instead they remained a cohesive unit with Fish picking up the win for their team here. I'm not too high on Cole doing the comedy crap with a guy like Cassidy, but it didn't kill the match for me, which was enjoyable on the whole and had a nice pace. The outcome was the right one, though I'm not sure what it was supposed to accomplish unless we get Cole against Cassidy coming out of it.

Elektra Lopez def. Valentina FerozI've mentioned before that I like Lopez and her potential but wasn't a fan of her being pushed so quickly while she's still green. That said, 205 Live is the perfect place for her to hone her skills and improve. Feroz is a work in progress as well, but this was a perfectly passable match while it lasted. It sure seems like she's being positioned as the new leader of Legado del Fantasma with Santos Escobar taking a backseat, but I hope not.
Universal Champion Roman Reigns Addressed the AudienceThis was essentially every Reigns promo we've heard after every pay-per-view for the last year where he'll boast about beating a certain opponent and put the rest of the locker room on notice. At this point, though, he's pretty spot-on when he says that he's defeated a majority of the roster. This was the usual quality promo for him that did a decent job of hyping up the number one contender's Battle Royal later on in the night. At least it looks like Drew McIntyre, Jeff Hardy and Brock Lesnar are lined up to challenge for the championship eventually.
TJP def. Calvin Tankman in an Opera Cup Semifinal MatchSpeaking as someone who is still relatively new to the MLW product, Tankman will absolutely be one to watch going forward. The kid has a ton of potential and has had quality matches with a variety of opponents so far, including TJP here. This was an enjoyable opener with the interference from Alex Kane protecting Tankman in defeat and sending TJP to the finals. The crowd was very much behind Tankman during this one.
Jordan Devlin def. Mark AndrewsSince these two wrestle similar styles, I knew this would be fun and I'm glad it was positioned as the opener. They got a decent amount of time and worked as well together as I expected them to. Devlin needs more wins to get back to where he was earlier this year before losing the NXT Cruiserweight Championship, so this was a good start. I'm curious if Subculture losing so frequently will lead to anything or if they're just helping elevate others at the moment.
